From product development to team performance and carrier relations, Ben is responsible for everything at AIU.
An innovative thinker, with 30 years of insurance experience, Ben grew AIU into an industry gamechanger. He developed unique, profitable programs to fill glaring gaps in traditional insurance industry responses, and created a remarkably strong product line insuring more than $10B in TIV annually. In his six years at AIU, he grew the company by 300%, and replicated this unique model to create several thriving product lines for underserved markets.
Ben’s keenly analytical approach, upbeat energy, and bottom line focus on underwriting profitability make him and AIU a respected and in-demand partner for client-focused agents and a-rated insurance carriers internationally.
He is a member of the Target Markets Program Administrators Association and Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association.

The originator behind AIU’s disruptive collective insurance strategy for drastic rate reduction, Mervyn is AIU’s driving force; influencing expansion into new markets, and overseeing business development.
A problem-solver at heart, Mervyn has a knack for spotting product or market gaps, and developing out-of-the-box solutions to fill them. The successful risk-management insurance concept employing shared limit was his brainchild, and has since been adopted by other niche specialty insurance wholesalers.
With 30+ years of business development experience, Mervyn is also cofounder and partner at Broad Management, which oversees 10,000 apartments in 17 states, as well as at Broad Financial and Madison Trust, pioneering sister companies that allow people to have self-direction in their IRAs.

Formerly of Kidder Peabody, UBS, and Cantor Fitzgerald, Brian brings 30+ years of successfully managing risk for several of the world’s largest bond trading firms. He provides crucial direction for AIU program development and market expansion, and his uniquely broad outlook has helped engineer some of AIU’s most successful and groundbreaking programs.
In addition to his role at AIU, Brian is currently chairman at Broad Financial, a disruptive IRA diversification firm. Previously he served as President and CEO of Helix Financial Systems, where he developed systems currently used by major financial institutions, as well as Managing Director of Global Finance Operations at UBS, where he grew his departments into one of the strongest Wall Street financing operations.

Leah is responsible for defining and drafting policies, developing lender relations and maintaining impeccable performance standards.
Her remarkable insurance grasp helped create AIU record five-minute quote turnaround, and raise renewal retention rates to well over 80%. Her mastery of insurance language is uncanny; she deftly formulates policies to address any unique client requests, so they get custom coverage without increasing risk. In her managerial role, she builds, implements, monitors and refines systems to improve service on all levels.
Before coming to AIU, Leah developed commercial and residential underwriting within the retail insurance environment, where her exceptional policy writing skills increased new business by 25%. The same logical thinking, resourceful approach and relish of a challenge make her the go-to person for raising performance, growth and possibilities at AIU.

Brian is the voice of fiscal prudence at AIU, and manages all aspects of accounting, finance, and HR at the company. His keen financial acumen has ensured smooth accounting operations, detailed fiscal reporting and steady double-digit year-over-year percentage growth.
As an accomplished CPA who previously advised a diverse range of trusts and high net-worth business entities, Brian brings a strong, versatile background to his work at AIU. He’s passionate about efficiency and eliminating waste, and proudly supports global conservation efforts.
Brian received a Masters of Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Aaron serves as the Senior Sales Director at AIU. Aaron began his insurance career 7 years ago after a stint in the commercial real estate industry. Aaron also obtained an MBA with a focus in marketing from Touro University. He is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with retail agencies [and select wholesalers] who have been tasked by their clients to secure property insurance for exposures that fall within the parameters of our niche property programs.
Aaron has been instrumental in the growth of AIU from its infancy, demonstrating a high level of effective communication skills with key agency partners that have the ability to write a significant volume of business. He utilizes his strong industry and product knowledge, and approaches business with a curious and opportunistic mindset with a keen ability to identify the right opportunities and provide as much value as possible throughout the process. His ever-growing book of business speaks for itself.
Aaron serves as a mentor to the younger AIU team members, as his pleasant demeanor and approachable nature serve to encourage others to tap into his experience.
